Once the fixed braces are removed, removable retainers will be fitted. These are worn for a period of time every day for twelve months. After this, your Orthodontist will give you further instructions. Generally, long term retainer wear is advised to maintain the final result. Fixed (bonded) retainers may be used. Your Orthodontist will give you instructions regarding the options.
